ANDREW COPESTAKE, Ph.D.
Vice President and General Manager, ICON Development Solutions Marlow
Dr. Andrew Copestake is Vice President and General Manager of ICON Development
Solutions, Marlow and is responsible for the growth and development of ICON’s
Regulatory Consulting and Clinical Operations business. He joined ICON in August
2003 initially as Senior Director Business Development and subsequently assumed
responsibility as Vice President for BD Europe. During his tenure he and his team
successfully achieved and exceeded sales targets and thus supported the growth of
ICON Clinical Research.
Andrew has over 17 years experience in the contract research, site management and
pharmaceutical industries. He has worked in clinical operations, data management
and Business Development. Prior to ICON, Andrew worked at GSK, Quintiles,
Radiant Research, Covance and served on the Board of Profiad. He was educated at
University East London where he was awarded a Bachelor of Sciences with Honours in
Applied Biology. In 1994 Andrew obtained a PhD in Respiratory and Exercise Physiology
at Loughborough University.
