TOM LUDDEN, PH.D.
Vice President, Pharmacometric Research & Development
Dr. Ludden is Vice-President, Pharmacometric Research and Development,
ICON Development Solutions, formerly Globomax, a Division of ICON plc.
He received a B.S in Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the
University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Prior to joining GloboMax in July 1999, he was Parke-Davis Professor
and Chair, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at UNMC. From 1991
to 1995 Dr. Ludden served as an Expert Consultant, Senior Staff
Scientist and Director, Division of Biopharmaceutics, Office of
Research Resources, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Food
and Drug Administration, Rockville, MD. From 1975 to 1991, he was a
faculty member of the College of Pharmacy, University of Texas at Austin
and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Ludden is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy
and of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. In 1996,
he received the Russell R. Miller Award from the American College of
Clinical Pharmacy. He is the U.S. Editor for the Journal of Pharmacokinetics
and Biopharmaceutics and a Scientific Editor for Pharmacotherapy.
He also serves on the editorial boards for Pharmaceutical
Research and the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His publications
have described the pharmacokinetic characteristics of several
drugs in animals and humans.
